So this October has been filled with little projects around the house, working on Minikin Monkeys, and of course looking forward to our first ever pumpkin patch with our little man. We had decided a while back we wanted to go to
Davidson Orchards Farm in Vernon as they have a great location filled with a wonderful petting zoo, a giant spider web for kids to climb on, hay tunnels, a corn maze, playground, and a wonderfully cute little tractor ride up to the pumpkin patch to pick your pumpkin. I also didn't mention the over abundance of food, gifts, and amazing home made items they have for sale in their store, and apple tasting. It's the perfect kids farm, and they have events and various attractions through out the year.
We got there in the afternoon and met up with some friends who live in Kelowna. We spent the first part of our day enjoying the playground, spider web, corn maze, and the various kid attractions. Our little man LOVED the spider web, and corn maze.

Peeking over the GIANT spider web. |
So much fun, especially when other kids bounce the web. |
A peek into the hay tunnel which Kylun didn't want to go into. |
Look Mommy I'm happy standing right outside the tunnel. I don't need to go in. |
A walk through the corn maze with Daddy. |

Another path down that way. |
After our fun through many of the kid activities we ventured over and boarded the train to take us up to pick our pumpkin. It was so fun and a first for our little man and me. I've never been to a pumpkin patch myself so this was just as exciting for both of us (although my little guy seemed to be coming down with something or who knows what since he was quite mellow, but I know he still enjoyed it).
We walked around and looked for the perfect pumpkin. I had initially imagined Kylun running off and trying to touch all the pumpkins and picking at the leaves, or tops of the pumpkins making it that much more fun to choose one, but he 'mellowly' tried to walk around and just seemed to make it through the experience. We got our pictures, and then boarded the train with the perfect little pumpkin for our little man. Pete and I had to choose it in the end. Now our cute little pumpkin sits on our dining room table awaiting it's fate. Future Mr. Pumpkin Butter.

Mommy put me here, and now I have to pretend I found and picked this pumpkin. |
Contemplative. |
Pumpkins everywhere. |
Some of our wonderful view from the pumpkin patch. |
Here are more pictures for you to enjoy. I look forward to keeping up this tradition next year, and his excitement as he runs around looking for a good pumpkin.
I'll just look. Kylun didn't want to try and feed the Donkey, or get too close. He much rather enjoyed watching other people feed it. |
Different apples for tasting. |
And more apples. |
Some of our family pictures. First with Daddy.
Then the clan.
And with Mommy.
Thanks for reading.
